Amy and Glenn

I am pleased to introduce you to... Mr. and Mrs. Camp! Meet Amy and Glenn (you better not forget that extra N!), one of the sweetest couples I've ever met! Though Glenn and Amy didn't meet until 2005 during their time in college at Texas State - it seems as though they should have met years and years ago! Which is my favorite part of their story. Glenn and Amy's history goes way back before even getting to know one another. These two shared many mutual friends since they were teenie tiny tots, Amy's brother, Jacob, was in the same boy scout troop as Glenn, and Glenn's grandparents even lived down the street from Amy. It's almost silly that they did not meet one another until many years down the road. This is exactly the kind of story that confirms my belief that you don't find the right person until you're both ready.

Is anyone else as excited as I am to delve deep into their special day together? June 25th, 2011 was a beautiful day in Houston, Texas and has always been a special day to me personally because it is the birthday of my childhood best friend, Clare. When I booked this day with Amy and Glenn in 2010, I knew it would be nothing short of magical because of my past experience with that particular day. And boy, was I right. I was fortunate enough to get to spend the entire day with these two. I absolutely love photographing weddings from start to finish (though my hands, back and feet may disagree ;)) because the end result is one truly beautiful love story. Turning the photographs from a wedding day into a slideshow makes me feel like I get to tell the story from my point of view, and I really love that. I love when clients tell me it made them cry, because, well I'm cruel like that. Just kidding, obviously I love to make people smile with their memories, so none of my clients better cry anything but tears of happiness!  And that's an order!

And one thing you will notice about their wedding day story is that they do something that is not traditional, called the "first glance". This is when the couple decides to see each other before the ceremony and have that moment of first seeing each other documented and also just something special for them. I could immediately notice a change in Amy after the first glance. She was nervous, anxious and excited before, and as soon as she got to see, hug and kiss her man-to-be, she was all smiles and ready to completely dominate the rest of her wedding day. What a special moment :) I love it!

All of my slideshows tell a story, but there is something so special and sentimental about one's wedding day. So come on, take a stroll with us down memory lane!

Thanks for taking the time to enjoy a very lovely, and very special wedding day with Amy, Glenn, and I! If you want to see their entire slideshow, check it out here. And I hope all of you have an amazing Thanksgiving holiday! I know that my belly is going to be a happy one :)
