Today is brought to you by the letter A

Check out this insanely ADORABLE birthday party for Alexandra, thrown by her amazingly loving and creative mom, Shannon (and dad John, too!)! Last year I got to shoot Alexandra's equally precious monkey themed birthday and can't believe another year has just flown by. Alexandra is cuter than EVER with her giant, photogenic eyes, and princess tutu with my personal favorite accessory - pink glitter shoes. Oh yeah, the girl has style! Last year's birthday party was also cute-ness to the max, and this year's birthday party certainly didn't disappoint. Somehow Shannon seemed to out-do herself, again! I can already say that I just can't wait for her birthday next year! Seems like every year flies by quicker than the last, so hopefully it will be here again before I know it!

Alexandra's day this year was Elmo-themed, which was exciting for me for two big reasons... One, with my red hair, I actually fit in for once! It was kind of nice, especially when Elmo himself showed up, and obviously he and his hair stand out a lot more than me and mine :) I almost felt like he was my cooler older brother. Secondly, and more importantly, I grew up a Sesame Street fanatic, so the party's theme really took me back. As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of nostalgia, so I really loved that. I also really loved how vibrant all the colors were at the party, which really inspired me during the editing process. How can you not feel happy looking at these photos?! Shannon really put together some GREAT ideas for the party (my favorite had to be the goldfish in the flower glass bowls! Amazing!) and I am so excited to share the photos from the wonderful day with all of you. Hopefully you guys can enjoy Alexandra's birthday as much as we all did!

Hi Ashley! I did not plan the party, was just the photographer - or I'd love to help you out! I bet there could be some on Etsy somewhere.. I also have a friend who does commissioned costumes. Let me know if you're interested and I'll put you in touch with her
